Stories, Tips and behind-the-scenes of a freelance globetrotting facilitator
Hi Reader, It's Nathy
Before we dive in... spoiler alert:
There’s something big you could win at the end of this newsletter—so stick with me. 😉 But let's start..
This week as I was prepping a podcast episode, replying to some client messages, and starting a few slides for my next Fit for Facilitation sessions I realized…if I hadn’t started using AI as my modern assistant three years ago, I honestly don’t know how I’d be managing all of this.
Last year, I made a list of everything I do on a regular basis and started asking:
“Where can AI save me time… or sanity?”
Now? I’ve got a little system running behind the scenes: → One GPT helps me prep my podcast interviews → Another drafts my show notes straight from the video transcript
It saves me hours. And to be honest—if I had to pay someone for all this, I probably couldn’t afford it.
This technology is (in my humble facilitator opinion) one of the best things that’s ever happened to freelancers working solo.
Now organizations are being shaken up, too and new roles emerge. According to a recent Financial Times article, new roles like Chief AI Officer are popping up in executive teams.
DO YOU REALIZE WHAT THAT MEANS FOR US FACILITATORS?
It means opportunities. Missions for those of us who understand organizational development, change, and collaboration.
Wired reports that companies are rethinking their entire org structures because of AI - Read it here.
So... if you're curious about how to bring AI into your facilitation work—or help organizations navigate the shift—I have to introduce you to someone.
Meet Alex Eisenchteter. (I know, sounds super German, right? 🤣 When I first saw his name on LinkedIn in 2022, I was convinced he was from Berlin.)
Turns out, he’s French, like me 🇫🇷 And over the past two years, we’ve toasted our roots in a Parisian brasserie—twice! It’s also where he first showed me his AI Tinkerer card deck. Live. With wine. Magic.
Alex has been exploring how tech supports collective intelligence since 2015. He’s the creative brain behind the Stormz workshop app, founder of the AI Tinkerers' Club, and the inventor of the AI Tinkerer Cards—which I now use in my own client workshops.
So trust me when I say: you don’t want to miss his sessions during Fit for Facilitation week.
If you want to learn how to use GenAI in your daily work as a facilitator, don’t miss the session: GenAI for Facilitators — April 25 at 5:00 PM
